I use Ning as a way to build my personal learning network and to collaborate with other teachers. I started http://jppss-4thgradeteachers,ning,com for the teachers in my school district to share ideas. I am a member of many other Nings such as Classroom 2.0, Elf Classroom, and Projects by Jen. Great resource sharing, but have not used it with my students. It should be good for your students as long as they have emails because they have to be invited to join your Ning through their email address.
