It’s hard to believe that we will be graduating in an hour. it will be both happy and sad after spending so much time at camp Geneva together. Another three weeks in Geneva has ended with hard work and lots of memories. We celebrated today with a wonderful lunch down by Lake Geneva and the purchase of a little Swiss chocolate to take home.
A toast will be held at 8:08 0n 8-08-08.
We are now on our way to change the world!
Milan was an awesome experience! Traveling by train through Switzerland and Italy was beautiful. Arriving at the train station in Milan was the beginning of our awe inspiring architectural tour of Italy.
Our hotel was conveniently located 3 blocks from the train and subway station. The hotel had a beautiful lobby with marble floors, our room was very nice, and the freebreakfast was very good with a variety of warm croissants.
Dinner on Friday turned into quite an adventure. The young man Shawn asked for directions escorted us to the alfresco restaurant. This young Italian offered to wait for Shawn while admiring her beautiful eyes. Shawn was flattered but declined his generous offer. After ordering our dinner and enjoying a glass a wine, a tremendous wind storm suddenly appeared with the sounds of breaking glass. After realizing we were sitting under large umbrellas with huge metal spokes, it was not a safe place to be. The second gust of wind caused us to grab our wine and run into the building…. a monsoon came next…. it was pretty exciting for our first night.
Saturday we toured the Duomo, the third largest cathedral in the world.
Then we shopped …. Genesee Valley will never be the same.
More on Milan later!

My happy place
It is hard to believe that my stay in Geneva is half over. Hopefully, we are finished with our paper. This picture shows my new happy place, where I sit outside to work on our project.
Last weekend, Shawn and I traveled to a beautiful Swiss village of Luasanne. We sat in cafes, explored the expansive farmers’ market, shopped, and enjoyed the very scenic train ride through the countryside.
Streets of Lusuanne
Tomorrow we are taking a class bus trip to underground waterfalls and caves.
This weekend, Shawn, Mary Ann and I are traveling by train to Milan. We are very excited and will watch out for friendly Italian men.
Friday night after a week of hard work, six of us went out to dinner at a very Swiss restaurant. While enjoying wonderful fondue, we were entertained with yodeling, spoon, and alp-horn. Angie, Mary Ann, and I had an opportunity to try our talents with the alp-horn. Take a look!
Today was the big day where we presented our year’s hard work to the DevInfo organisation. Both the Global Director, Nicolas, and Kris, the Geneva director arrived in suits and ties. Shawn and I,both wearing black to look important, worked well together to present our power point.
It was a success, they heard and saw how DevFacto engaged students into learning and using their product.
Just when we thought our work with DevFacto was ending, it appears it will continue with a partnership with DevInfo. Where will it take us? Heaven only knows!
Tonight is time for dinner and fun!
We have been really busy the last couple of days, although we did have time for a quick trip to France for wine and cheese. My roommate is great and we continue to giggling into the night. Tomorrow is the day for our big presentation to the directors of the DevInfo organization. We have had two interesting days with the technician, Sameer who wants to continue working with us after Geneva .
It is fun to reconnect with friends from last year. My friend Maxine, from the Caymans, and I decided to dress alike today.

We were working so hard today that we blew a fuse in the classroom. You can understand by looking at the picture of the classroom.
The view from Apryl and my room is beautiful. The other pictures are from our dinner last night. (We are eating peanut butter today.)
