Spring Training at FETC

Baseball One of the great things about Florida is that Spring Training is hosted right here! (My son is excited about this because he thinks he will get to see all these games.) I love Spring Training because it gives the team a chance to build their relationship, plan how to play the game, and then give a "preview" of what’s to come to their fans. What a great concept!

Florida’s DEN is hosting a "Spring Training" Pre-Conference Event on March 22nd as part of FETC. It’s a chance for our members to meet their teammates, build their relationships, check out the game plan, and see a preview of what’s to come. There will be a shuttle to and from the event, lunch is included, as well as some doorprizes!  If you plan to be in town for FETC and would like to join us for this Spring Training, just email Danielle Abernethy (danielle_abernethy@discovery.com) and let her know! If you are a technology coach and you have teachers joining you that day that are not in the DEN, no problem. They are welcome to join us!

Also, if you would like to share a 15 minute presentation as we run the bases in the morning, email her with a proposal. We’re looking for either fun ways to use unitedstreaming, training tips and tricks, roll-out suggestions, implementation ideas, and such.

Times are not set yet, but here is a glance at Wednesday’s agenda:

Throwing out the First Pitch…………Welcome!

Running the Bases………………………Spotlight Presentations

7th Inning Stretch………………………….Lunch and Networking opportunities

Playing the Outfield……………………..Presentations by DEN Field Managers

We also have limited tickets for our Thursday night reception for the Blog Award Winners. This is open to DEN members only! If you would like to join us for this event, again, RSVP with Danielle! It will be from 6-8 at a secret location on I-Drive. You’ll have time to relax, meet the Nation’s best bloggers, network with other great educators, and have some fun!
