One of my favorite conferences (after FETC of course) is NECC. I was sad to miss this past year’s in San Diego. I always learn so much from going to the different vendor booths and sitting in on their presentations, from networking with the teachers there, attending fascinating sessions, and exploring the city that NECC is hosted in. As a tech coach in SC, I could only attend if I presented. (If you do a three hour or longer workshop, you can qualify for a stipend and some of your travel back.)
Of course, Discovery Education will be there, so I’m hoping you will be there too! (We have a great booth site – near Apple, HP, and Scholastic!) One way to go is to present. ISTE has the workshop proposals open until October 4. These can be 1 hour concurrent, half day or full day workshops. Submit as many as you can or want. Think of all topics we have covered: digital storytelling, Inspiration with unitedstreaming, TimeLiner with unitedstreaming, The Builders of unitedstreaming, podcasting with the sound effects in unitedstreaming, Interactive PowerPoints, Cosmeo, etc. The competetion is always tough, but worth it. Be creative with your title, be creative with your program description. Try to get their theme in: Learning and Leading with Technology. (Polk, you have a presentation already on this one!)
And remember, if you are using unitedstreaming in your presentation – I’ll give you a door prize to give away. If you want to write me in as a CO-presenter, let me know. I’ll be glad to be your assistant. I’m thinking of what I want to send in myself. I don’t want to miss this one!
