The Benefits of Being a STAR

I’ve been to a lot of events recently where I’ve heard STAR Discovery Educators talking to each other about the DEN and how much they value the community.  Inevitably, someone who is not familiar with the DEN asks, "What is a STAR Discovery Educator and why would you want to become one?"

So, I took some time to highlight some of the many benefits of being a STAR DE (it may take a minute to load).  Feel free to share it with your colleagues and get them excited about what the DEN has to offer.

This is great, Lance — thank you! Although I have to say, it is really difficult to accurately represent just what a person gets out of being a STAR educator, there are so many benefits!

Yes- and I thought being a Star in RL was so cool. Now I’m a Star Den in SL and have met some wonderful, creative, energized educators who are also in the DEN in SL. Learning so much and being taken on some great SL adventures.

I’ve tried to download the info from the link, several times and from several computers. All I am able to get is the ACADEMY 123 logo. Any suggestions or help? I’d love to have the powerpoint to use in Arizona to get more folks involved.
    Thanks,
    Alison

I’ve also tried on different computers to access Benefits of Being a Star via the link, and it only opened to the 123 Academy logo.
