Please forgive me as it’s been a good week and a half or so since I sat down to blog for the DEN. I’ve been in a funk since the end of school came, I think it’s partially the stressing situation of moving campuses. Nothing like moving eh? Today marked the first day that I can say that I am DONE with the preparations, so hopefully the physical moving of the stuff goes well, and we don’t lose anything. (Wishful thinking I know)
I posed this question on my personal blog after reading about it at the Teacher Leader’s Network. I think it’s a very valid question to show who the leaders in the educational realm truly are. Having been a part of this AWESOME community for the better part of a year and a half now, I view each and every member, from the hierarchy of leadership within Discovery Education (both past and present), to the most active of STAR DEN members, to the new members just joining daily. How is this so? The true epitome of a leader is someone who stands out to others. A beacon of light to guide others. Deep thoughts, I know.
So back to the question I posed. What are you doing this summer to spread the good word of technology in education? Myself, I’ll be sharing great times with fellow DEN members and educators at NECC2007. I’ll also be partaking in one of the summer national institutes as well. Both wonderful ways to meet other members, network and become friends. So what’s on your summer plate?
