iPod Webinar – Mini-Post

Ipod2 For those who tuned in to last week’s webinar (live from the University of California at Berkeley) during the DEN National Teacher Institute, here is the updated PowerPoint presentation and the pdf of the same. They have been enhanced so that they will work somewhat as a standalone.  I’d love your feedback.  Has anyone tried iQuizMaker, the free cross-platform quiz maker for the iPod?  I’d love to hear what you think.  The new update is at http://www.iquizmaker.com/.  I’m back in the California office getting things ready for back-to-school.  I suspect you are, too!   More adventures from the Berkeley Institute in the next posting.

    Hey Hall,

I have used iQuiz. Fun! Fun! Fun! and easy to create your own quizzes. It’s particularly special to show in front of a group of teachers from your iPod out to a projector. Keep them coming! Have you seen Magic GarageBand yet? Amazing! Steve Jobs demonstrates it on his latest keynote on the Apple site. Think I’m going to buy it today! Don’t miss their reinvention of the spreadsheet and iMovie. Amazing.

    As always, I am
    Ubiquitously Yours,

OK…love the updated information, BUT SERIOUSLY couldn’t you find a better headshot??? LOL On my screen it looked like there was the beater stick (or whatever they’re called) from an electric beater coming out of your forehead! It was only after I clicked on the image to enlarge it did I realize it was a shot of you underwater.

Very funny, Nancy. And you’re right, I don’t think I could find a worse picture–although it makes sense if you get to the last slide of the PowerPoint :). Also, I was in a hurry to get that shot before NECC and, haste making waste again, I made sure the iPod case was secure but rushed the camera and basically fried my camera with a few drops of moisture. So that shot is like a tombstone for the camera. Sigh.

Karen- do you know EVERYTHING? Thanks for the report. PS I have heard iMovie lost a little edge in the new iLife.

    Hi Hall!
I’ve used iQuiz and I really like it, BUT I find it extremely quirky to get the quizzes on my iPod. I haven’t trained anyone else on it because I haven’t figured out an easy method for the non-geek.

I love your Media Matters, by the way, and I send participants in my trainings to it all the time. Also, one more aside…

Karen DOES know everything! She even knows the answers to questions that haven’t been asked yet!

Hmmm…….I don’t know the question nor the answer, but I am ubiquitously yours!
