Meet Kaigo, the Columbus Zoo Cheetah

Animal Planet is teaming up with the Cheetah Conservation Fund (CCF) to host the Cheetah Conservation Fundraising Benefit. With only about 10,000 cheetahs on earth, their survival in the wild is questionable. CCF is an internally recognized center of excellence in research and education on cheetahs and their ecosystem.

This event will take place on Wednesday, October 24, 2007 and will feature:

  • Dr. Laurie Marker, Founder & Director of CCF
  • Kaigo, Columbus Zoo Cheetah
  • Wine and hors d’oeuvres
  • Silent auction

The cost per ticket is $125, but as a STAR Discovery Educator, you have the opportunity to receive two and your cost is $0 (please note: all travel expenses are the responsibility of the STAR DE). Hosted at 500 N Street, Harbour Square in Washington DC, the event begins at 6 p.m. and will conclude at 9 p.m.

If you are a STAR Discovery Educator who is interested and available to attend this exclusive event, post a comment to this blog entry by Friday, October 12 at 5 pm (EST) that includes:

  • Full Name
  • Job Title
  • School
  • Address
  • Email
  • Phone

The first two STAR Discovery Educators (and their guests) that respond to this post will receive the tickets.

Good luck and please contact me with any questions.
