Google Earth and Discovery Education streaming
After Hall Davidson has spent the past 3 days highlighting Google Earth and integrating Discover Education streaming within Google Earth placemarks, I have been inundated with requests for the directions on imbedding Discovery Education videos in Google Earth. Below you will find the directions and code for the imbed process. You will need to download the video first and then convert it to flash (.swf). I have found the website media-convert.com to be very helpful in this process. Hopefully this will help you in your desires to imbed videos from Discovery Education streaming in Google Earth.

Thanks Brad,
You’re the best! I’m going to share this with my teachers via our OnePlace local content area.

The PPT is almost a year old. Is that the most current? It’s different from out handout.

In my experience, Hall typically only included the slides and images and sources for the media. I’m guessing but due to copyright restrictions, and because often he personally purchases some of the media he uses, he does not post some of the video and songs he uses. That is probably why it appears that some of the links don’t work. I recommend taking some of the ideas and running with those… finding your own that are similar and are more tailored to your audience anyway.
