Using YouTube Videos

I think it is safe to say that many teachers can find the good in you tube. However, the internet connection is a limiting factor  if it is not available. It wasn’t until recently that I discovered that youtube amongst many other online video libraries could be downloaded. For example if you go to www.keepvid.com you can type in the web address to a video on a website and download it to your hard drive so you will never have to find it again.

I always fear that a really good video I have viewed and use in the classroom will no longer exist after a while. For this reason have a copy of my own makes me feel at ease. You may even download an add on to Mozilla Firefox to allow you to do the same thing.

There are several of these tools out there so it doesn’t matter which one you use but the important thing is that you know it is available. As any good tech
