Palm Beach Technology Conference

Last week I had the pleasure of attending the Palm Beach Technology Conference.  I must admit I was a little skeptical that a county was holding their own conference with the expectations of nearly 2000 in attendance.  Immediately upon my arrival at the conference I was amazed to see the precision with which this event was run.  There was a tremendous Keynote from Dr. Tim Tyson from Georgia who was inspiring as well as thought provoking.  There were also featured speakers including our own Hall Davidson who talked about bridging Google Earth with Discovery Education streaming.  I was graciously provided with three sessions, which the materials for are below.  Throughout the day the event ran seamless with the professionalism I have come to expect from Lee Kolbert and the other involved members of the Palm Beach Technology Team.  I wish every state, much less county could hold such an thought-provoking and eye-opening event.  Thanks to Palm Beach County for their incredible work and effort.

I also want to thank Tom Turner, the blog manager for Florida, who provided me with some wonderful new resources and my new favorite internet browser Flock which advertises itself as “The Social Web Browser” and the tag line fits.  Also, I want to make certain eveyone is finding out about Diigo, which has taken the potential of del.icio.us to a new level.  Spring is here and it is time to start establishing those connections that will take you through the summer months.
