DEN Virtual Conference – Oct. 25

The date is just around the corner!

I copied this from the DEN National Blog.

Join us for the Discovery Educator Network Virtual Conference on Saturday, October 25, 2008!

Connect with educators from all over the country during this unique professional development experience where you can attend in-person, online or both!

The DEN Virtual Conference provides a unique opportunity to learn powerful ways to integrate digital media and Web 2.0 tools into your instruction as well as discover an abundance of resources to expand your own personal learning network.

You have the flexibility to attend the DEN Virtual Conference online or in-person at one of many regional events hosted by the DEN Leadership Councils.

The day will feature presentations from Discovery’s own Hall Davidson, Steve Dembo, Jannita Demian, Scott Kinney, Matt Monjan and Lance Rougeux as well as a special spotlight session from STAR Discovery Educator Jennifer Dorman. These sessions will be broadcast to each of the regional gatherings. In between the virtual presentations, participants will attend breakout sessions presented by local STAR Discovery Educators.

Educators who cannot attend an in-person regional event still have the opportunity to participate virtually in the full-day conference.

Registration opens on October 10.  FYI – If all goes according to plan, PA will host two in-person events on the 25th: one in Harrisburg and the other in Wallenpaupack.  Details and the links to register will be posted on the PA blog as soon as they are finalized.

Check back here on October 10th.

I did not see Wallenpaupack on the registration form. Did that location fall through?

Looking very forward to the event. I didn’t see the Wallenpaupack option either. I’m sure Harrisburg will have a great turn-out. Looking forward to hearing you and others, Jen. Thanks, in advance, for your time and technological wisdom.
