Are you looking for the next “best read” to top your Shelfari list? How about a great video challenge connected to a great book? Want to meet the author and discuss the work? Does a college scholarship–or its equivalent for further education–entice you? What if I told you students and teachers could participate. Are you interested yet… Let’s add Julie Lindsay and Vicki Davis’s next flat-classroom foray: the Net Generation Education Project. Want to learn, teach, and collaborate globally with hundreds of students who interact with the book and video challenge to envision the future of education. If you just answered yes to all of the above, (and especially if you are a STAR Discovery Educator), we encourage you to apply to participate in this amazing challenge. We want to see Pennsylvania represented in this incredible opportunity.
The DEN is hosting book club for Grown Up Digital, and Don Tapscott will participate in the final discussion. Hall Davidson and Joe Brennan will host 4 webinars to help teachers and students create their video submissions for the challenge. That’s your nutshell summary. If you want more details, check out the DEN blog, then apply for the challenge and join the book club!
