Save the Date! – February 4th

Wanting to join the DENinSL12/2009 Flickr group (a take off on the 365 groups) but not sure you have photographic know-how?  Well have we got just the workshop for you!  We have a well-known SL photographer among the LC – Riptide Furse.  Betcha didn’t know that did ya?  He would never admit it himself, but if you’ve seen some of his photographs then you know I speak the truth — and if you’ve ever modeled for him, you know that photography was his calling! LOL

Please consider joining us this Wednesday, February 4th, at 5 p.m. SLT (7 p.m. CST, 8 p.m. EST) for ‘Moments in Time – Second Life Screen Capture Basics’ with Riptide Furse.  You will explore taking pictures using Second Life’s built in screen capture tools.  Rip will show you how to unlock hidden options to use your viewer to take pictures from many angles and distances.  Use your Flickr account and participate throughout the year in our 1 picture a month series (DENinSL12/2009 group).

Riptide did a photography workshop last year and I discovered so many wonderful tools to use, but of course an hour is NEVER enough so I’m THRILLED that Rip is offering another photography workshop.  Trust me, you won’t want to miss this one!

Just want everyone to be clear that this is a beginner basic level class. We will be looking at different settings of taking a snapshot and how to manipulate your screen to position your camera for better shots.

It will be hands-on meaning that you will be doing the stuff on your computer so there really isn’t any documentation that will be given out.

Having your Flickr account already set up will be helpful. Once you have a Flickr account check out this link too on how to upload photos by sending them in email. http://www.flickr.com/account/uploadbyemail/

As always if you miss it, IM me in world and I can do it again just for you some other time.
