Have you tried Quiz Builder?

Greetings Blogosphere!

One of the benefits of joining the DEN is that you get access to several Builder Tools that you can use with Discovery Education Streaming.

One of those tools that I’ve been playing with this week is Quiz Builder. Quiz Builder allows you to create quizzes that have multiple choice, short answer, and true/false type questions. The really cool thing is that you can add DEstreaming videos for the quiz as a whole and/or for individual items. You can also add videos that show up in the report when a student misses the question.

Check out this quiz I built on the human body.  Be sure to miss a few items for fun.

Until next time,

I used the writing prompt builder. Loved that. Haven’t tried this resource – time being the binder. Wondering if there is a library of pre-made quizzes you can access to use for your own class? Will have to check it out.

I’m going to try the Assignment builder. Can’t access the one you did on body systems.

Quiz builder is great, and I wasn’t aware of it. Has anyone used it yet with their classes? Any downside to it?

I like how you can add videos to it. Wow tests are cool now! Well maybe not to the students as much as us!

I don’t use it for serious testing but as a self-check review for the students. One great way to see the potential for this builder is to do some searches in the DE content folder. All of the quizzes are able to be copied and edited for your use. Sometimes I like to see examples to help me get ideas.
