YouTube in the Classroom

One of the frustrating things about the filtering of content like YouTube in the classroom is that there is a wealth of really good, high quality educational videos on the site that are nearly impossible to use easily.

Until now.

OK, maybe it isn’t that simple. You need a Twitter account.  Oh, and a Vidly account.  But once you have those its really easy.  And no, it doesn’t matter that Twitter is blocked at schools in Tennessee.

In the video below, you will see just how simple this is to do.

1. Copy the URL of the YouTube video you want to use.

2. Upload the video through Vidly (it will post to Twitter, but that is unimportant to our purposes).

3. Copy the embed code for the video and paste it into the html section of a DE Streaming builder.

4. OK, there really isn’t a 4.  You’re done.  Can it really be any easier?
