Virtual Conference in Cumming, GA

I know this post is really, really late, but I just could not pass up the opportunity to highlight the Virtual Conference held in Cumming, GA.  We had 13 highly motivated, excited, and eager educators in attendance.

LakesideMiddleTeryl and Tim went down to “help out.”  Patti Grammens did a fantastic job getting everything set up and ready to go.  The school was absolutely beautiful (this was its first year).  Lakeside Middle School is an awesome facility.  It is so new that Google Maps still has it showing as mostly dirt!

Lakeside has about 700 students currently.  The entire school is wireless.  Every classroom is equipped with Promethean boards, projectors, and 4 student computers.  In addition, there are several portable laptop labs available as needed.  We held our VC in the media center.  It was gorgeous!

You can see how we spent the day by looking at the Animoto below.  This is the first time I’ve slowed the pictures down to 1/2 speed.  I kind of like the result.  The one spot in the video where the music fades and one of the teachers is talking shows us attempting to upload audio to Blabberize using the iPhone.

Thanks again GA educators for allowing us the opportunity to work with you.  We loved it!
