Meet the SL-Team!

Check out the Second Life ™ Leadership Council!

As we all know (well, I hope you know) there are real people behind those avatars that constitute the DEN in SL Leadership Council.  We were most fortunate to have been able to attend an LC Retreat in Boston a few weeks ago.  We spent our time (wisely) taking a close look at our mission, goals, and basically how we can make sure that we provide experiences that will bring you in-world.  After our LC Retreat with our Invincible Leader Demb Oh, we’re ready to take on the virtual word with a new vigor.

One change that we are looking to make is an infusion of content into the blog.  Yes, there will still be a ‘Save the Date’ to remind you of upcoming events, but there will be more posts dealing with places, people, and ‘p’events (sorry, was on a ‘p’ roll…) in-world.  Be on the lookout for surveys, tips & tricks to make your virtual life easier (and more interesting), and updates on events happening in-world that the Blog Team feels would be of interest to you, our readers.  So if you haven’t already done so, now’s the time to add us to your favorite RSS Reader.

And I would be remiss if I didn’t introduce the members of the Blog Team (besides myself).  I know that you join me in welcoming Vita and Val to the team.  Make sure to click on the ‘About the Leadership Council’ to read more about these amazing ladies.

I got such a chuckle last night at the comment during the LC Insider webinar about SL people at their retreat sitting next to each other, but communicating through SL. I get lost everytime I enter SL, so kudos to those of you who can navigate it so effortlessly.

I have dabbled with Second Life, on and off for the past two years. I see it as having great potential in the classroom and yet I haven’t quite figured out how to make that leap. Any ideas or suggestions?
