Summer Institute Day 4

Thursday was another eventful day at the Den Institute at Bentley University near Boston.  As you can see from the photo, it is a beautiful campus.

Today we had a keynote presentation by Hall Davidson that was about Mash Media:  New Web, Old Media and Your Own Stuff.  We have to admit, it was one of the most entertaining and informative presentations we have seen!  After the presentation, we broke into groups and got an opportunity to select from a variety of workshops, including Glogster, Glogster Premium, Google Docs, Smartboards, Prezi, Deep Dive into Discovery and more!  Wow….the day was jam packed.

During the afternoon, we had an opportunity to work on our projects that were due by 4:00 p.m.  Each individual developed a curricular project using Discovery Education.  We can’t wait to see all of them tomorrow.

The day ended with a movie theme celebration called Hollywood Night Celebration!  It was a lot of fun to see everyone dressed as their favorite movie character.  Cathy went as Lucille Ball and I went as one of the Incredibles.  What a sight to behold.

This will be our last blog from Bentley.  DEN and Star DEN members, if you ever get a chance to go to a DEN Institute we would definitely recommend it.  We learned a lot and meet a lot of nice people from the United States and Canada.
