Friday, September 10, 2010 was a great day for Discovery educators in the state of Louisiana. LPB (Louisiana Public Broadcasting) and DEN (Discovery Educator Network) worked together to bring a Day of Discovery to Baton Rouge. The Louisiana State Museum donated the venue that was used for the day of workshop presentations. Hall Davidson, Steve Dembo, and Jennifer Dorman, all from Discovery, presented concurrent sessions for the 150 atttendees. Each educator who was present learned new ways to engage students in the classrooms. We learned about the new features of the Discovery website, various ways to integrate Web 2.0 tools, and tricks and tips for creating digital stories.
