Discovering through Facebook…..

n187193292037_37851.jpg  Did you know you can keep up with the latest and greatest from Discovery Educator Network with your Facebook account?  If you didn’t, it’s as easy as clicking here and becoming a friend of DEN!

While on my Facebook,  searching for additional resources to include in this week’s blog, I came across a link from our very own DEN Star, Lee Kolbert.  I followed the link and it took me to an article “Ten Great Free Resources from Discovery Education.”  Wow!  These are free resources from Discovery, for any teacher and it isn’t just ten.  It is close to twenty-five free resources.  Then lo and behold, I discovered it is posted on the blog of another DEN Star, David Andrade.  David’s blog is the Educational Technology Guy and it is full of informative info.   What a terrific find!  Gotta love those DEN Stars.

Coming in the near future……

techortreatdraftthumbnail.jpg  Mark your calendar for a spook-tacular event, Tech and Treat, happening on the 23rd of October.  It is a DEN event you won’t want to miss.  There are so many amazing sessions you’ll be thoroughly engaged all day.  I’m particularly looking forward to learning about the new Discovery Educational mobile interface and the Discovery Ed. US Geography app for iPad, from Steve Dembo.  Don’t forget to bring a friend, so they can also share in the wonderful world of being a DEN Star.

Tracie, I went ahead and put that info on the blog so everyone in that area would see it. Just in case they didn’t read the comments.
