Day of Discovery Event:  Discover Our Heroes

(sponsored by Discovery Education and the Kansas Discovery Educator Network Leadership Council)

When:  Saturday, November 6th

Where:  Bradley Elementary School, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas

Time:  8:30 – 2:30

Cost:  FREE (lunch will be provided)

Join us for a day of Discovery Education and Digital Storytelling at Bradley Elementary, located at the historic and beautiful Fort Leavenworth.  Teachers will have the opportunity to attend sessions on Discovery Education Streaming, Digital Storytelling with DE and Web 2.0, Interview military officers from the Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, take a walking audio tour of the historic post, and tour the Frontier Army Museum.  Teachers are asked to bring their laptops, cameras, and/or flip cams to capture historic monuments and images that will be used in a digital story.

12:05 – 2:00 – Audio Tours and Museum Tour

2:00 -2:30 – Putting it all together, Closing, Prizes
