Win a free copy of the US Geography App from Discovery Education!

Over the next two weeks, we’re going to be giving away copies of the US Geography App from Discovery Education!  This week we’ll be passing out codes from the iPhone and iTouch version of the app, and next week we’ll be giving away copies of the brand new iPad version of the best-selling game.

Want to win one?  Couldn’t be easier!  All you need to do is keep a close eye on the DEN Forums, Twitter account and Facebook page.  Monday through Friday, we’ll be asking a different trivia question in each of the three locations.  Be the first to respond with the correct answer, and we’ll send you a code for a free copy of the app!

And don’t forget,  the App is available through iTunes if you’re impatient and want to check it out right now.  And here’s a little more information about it, in case you aren’t familiar with what it is:

The U.S. Geography by Discovery Education App is designed for middle school students, but is fun and informative for all ages. The app features a robust collection of breathtaking videos, interactive gameplay, and global competition and sharing. With multimedia content hand picked by Discovery Education curriculum experts and aligned to national learning standards, the app allows users to explore seven U.S. geographic regions (Pacific, Mountain, Southwest, Midwest, Southeast, Mid-Atlantic and New England) across six categories, such as bodies of water, culture and major cities. The U.S. Geography by Discovery Education App also features related stories from Discovery News. Covering everyday news through the unique and fascinating lens of science, Discovery News is updated frequently to coincide with current events.

I would love this! Sadly, I can play in your reindeer games because twitter and facebook are blocked at school, but I can try the DEN Forums. I wish this was an option for DE. There is such an emphasis on Geography now in our county that I know we’d benefit. Thanks, DEN, you do rock my world!
