Tundra Connections: Time to Test Your Connection

We are very excited to connect with classrooms around the world as we participate in Polar Bears International’s Tundra Connections program.

If you are planning to join us on November 15 and/or November 16, please take some time to test your connection.  There is no special login needed, but we strongly encourage you to visit this page in advance to see if the livestream comes through for you.

There are several other webcasts taking place this week when you can check to make sure you’ll be good for next week.  Visit this page on Wednesday, November 10 at 12 PM CT or Thursday, November 11 at 12 PM CT to check your connection.  No login is required.

Getting ready for the webcasts?  There are lots of Discovery Education resources to prepare your students in advance.

When you log in to Discovery Education simply do a keyword search for “polar bear” and you will see hundreds of results including videos, images, articles and our brand new Polar Bears Theme Page.

Discovery Education Science subscribers will also see animations, e-books and more.

But don’t stop there, make other connections for your students through searches like “climate change.”  And, you can have your students log in to the Discovery Education Student Center and search on their own.

Also, you can use these webcasts to highlight the fact that all students can make a difference.  Investigate the free resources available at the Siemens We Can Change the World website.
