On Saturday, November 19, 2010 educators from across Chicago Public Schools attended a Day of Discovery at the SHEDD Aquarium in Chicago to learn how to utilize digital media from Discovery Education to enhance science instruction. The day began with an opening from Phillipe Cousteau and was followed with breakout sessions designed to help educators learn how to utilize the resources available within Discovery Education. During the breakout sessions educators learned how to effectively digital media including video segments and virtual labs to engage their students and introduce concepts for 21st century students. Educators also experienced how to integrate digital media with hands-on science lessons and track student progress through concepts.
