The Sweet Sixteen results are in!
In Game 1, Movie Maker/iMovie defeated cloud-based movie editor JayCut (Teach42′s new favorite thing) 59 to 41.
Game 3 featured video slideshow creators Animoto and Photo Peach. Although a powerful competitor (passionately loved by our fearless leader, Lance) Photo Peach seems to just be too new to get the name recognition of Animoto. It appears these newcomers to the field just didn’t have the experience to defeat the established tool. We still think you should go check out this example from Photo Peach.
In Game 4, fancy word cloud creator Tagxedo defeated interactive learning resource creator Magic Studio 74 to 26 in what came to the DEN team as a surprise attack. We predict that with examples like this one, Magic Studio will get experience and be back for championship contention next year.
Game 7 featured powerful zooming presentation tool Prezi vs. amazing poster tool Glogster EDU. Both of these really mashup well with Discovery Education, but Glogster EDU proved to be the favorite, winning 73 to 27.
Finally, Game 8 brought new web-based music mixer ujam vs. the ever powerful Google Earth. Although we think that ujam is a fabulous tool, it was no match for Google Earth who brought it with an 82-18 win.
So, the Elite 8 is underway.
MovieMaker/iMovie vs. Edmodo

The Final Four starts Wednesday, so hurry!
