DEN Summer Institute 2011

The DEN Summer Institute for 2011 will take place from July 9-14, 2011 at¬†the University of San Diego, in San Diego, CA… just a little over 2,000 miles southwest of Chicago.

Up to 125 STARs will be invited to attend the DEN Summer Institute. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with fellow STAR Discovery Educators from all over during an exclusive, intensive, week-long networking and professional development event. We encourage all STARs to apply!

Lodging and meals will be covered by the Discovery Educator Network  (Read the FAQ document for more details). All travel costs to and from the institute, are the responsibility of the STAR Discovery Educator.

The application asks for 3 key pieces of information to be included in a digital artifact. Please make sure that your artifact answers these three questions if you want to be considered.

1. Motivation (Why do you want to attend?)

2. Activity (What have you done as a STAR that makes you an active member of the community?)

3. Expertise (What are you willing to share with other attendees?)

Is it May 2, yet? Not sure I can wait any longer to find out if I am in. DENNI is such a great time to learn, create and share.

  2. Laura Jean Moore

Is there a minimum and/or maximum time limit on the digital artifact?

    • Porter Palmer

There is not a specific limit. The Goldilocks rule does probably apply though!

    Always good advise – thanks!
