On Saturday, April 30, Verona Area High School was the place to be! That is if you were looking to learn some really cool ways to incorporate technology into the classroom. Nearly 30 educators participated in this on-site event sponsored by the Discovery Educator Network. Educators from the Verona Area School District as well as from neighboring districts, Oregon an Middleton and Racine began the day at 8:00 a.m. for the first keynote speaker, and concluded the day at 1:00.
The entire day was not only a lot of fun, but a great opportunity to network and learn from others. Topics for the day ranged from project-based learning strategies, iPads/iTouches in the classroom, geocaching, web 2.0 tools, hands on time to make paper slide shows and more!
DEN (Discovery Educator Network) Wisconsin Leadership Council members Deb Donley, Cathy Houchin and Rita A. Mortenson hosted the event.
