The principal at Burlington High School in Burlington, MA is providing a great way to stay connected over the summer. Following the model of the “unconference” used at Edcamp, BHS will be hosting mini-Edcamps Tuesday mornings this summer. It is a great opportunity to make new connections and share ideas. The following was posted on the BHS Principal’s blog.
“Educators from all levels and discipline are welcome, so spread the word and check out the https://sites.google.com/site/bhssummeredcamp/ BHS Summer Edcamp Wikipage (designed by http://twitter.com/#%21/andycinek Andy Marcinek) to keep up with the latest information.
The outline of each Tuesday is tentatively as follows:
8-9 – Coffee and Informal Small Group discussion
9-10 – Session 1
10-11 – Session 2
11-12 – Session 3
12-1 – Participate in #Edchat (lunch will be ordered in for those wishing to stay)
While further details are still being finalized, you can mark it on your calendar now and we hope to see you as often as you can make it to BHS. Sessions are slated for July 5, July 12, July 19, July 26, August 2, August 9, August 16, August 23.”
