Learn about the beautiful Milwaukee area while taking and learning about photography. Did you know the Milwaukee River is on the USATODAY list of 10 great places to stream through cities?
No experience or expert photography needed for this great event….simply bring some kind of camera.
Here are the tentative details for the exciting day.

Please note, parking is available on the street for $1.50 per hour or in the ramp at the Milwaukee Public Market for $3.00 per hour. The event is anticipated to last for approximately 3 hours. When you arrive, you will each be given a $10.00 market card that you can use for morning coffee, breakfast or lunch in the market. If you purchase something in the market, you can have your ticket validated, and they will deduct $4.00 from your parking bill. Please remember to bring your parking ticket in with you so you can get it validated. This might be the best way to go! $9.00 parking for three hours – $4.00 discount when you purchase something at the market with your gift card. The various shops include, candy store, deli, fresh fish, cheese and more! It is really a cool place to shop and also take photos.
We will begin our photowalk. You will each be given a little handout that features some highlights on our walk as well as our photo activity sheet (for those interested). Did you know that the lamp posts have earrings and the bridge houses wear the necklaces? Learn other fascinating things and have your photo taken by the Bronze Fonz. More info. can be found at the link below.
We aniticpate walking and taking photos for about 90 minutes and then meeting at a park (Pere Marquette Park) which is right on the walk. At the park, we can talk about not only the photos we took and the photowalk, but other DEN events and info. for the upcoming year.
We will then walk back to the Market, and those interested can grab some lunch, shop or head back home. Don’t worry, it won’t take us 90 min. to walk back. If you won’t be taking photos on the way back it will probably take 30 minutes.
Time to shop, eat or browse the market.
Don’t delay….register today!
P.S. If it is really bad weather, we will cancel. If it looks like really bad weather for the Milwaukee area, we will call or e-mail you with the contact info. you provide and let you know the status the night before. The market would still be fun if cloudy or rainy…..but if it will be really bad weather, we will cancel.
