Fall Virtual Conference, Anaheim, CA
Saturday, October 22nd, teachers from around Orange County headed for Anaheim, California and Marshall School in the Magnolia School District for a day of technology professional development. Discovery Education Network’s 2011 Fall Virtual Conference featured live online presentations from educational technology leaders from across the nation focusing on topics such as digital storytelling and web 2.0 tools.
The event in Anaheim included in-person presentations by DEN Star and LC member, Tony Spittell, on new web 2.0 tools and how to integrate them in the elementary classroom, screencasting, and 50 Ways to use Discovery Education. Of course, the day wouldn’t have been complete without great food and prizes, outstanding sharing of ideas, and of course, recruiting new DEN STARs.
A great time was had by all!
