It’s a Wrap! ‘No Tricks, Just Treats’

I don’t know about you, but I had a blast sharing out my bag of treats at the DEN Virtual Conference on Saturday, October 22, 2011.  I locked myself in my daughter’s room (having sent my husband and German Shepherd on a 2 hour errand) surrounded by my MacBook, my laptop, my iPad, the iPevo document camera, my smartphone, my EyeFi card, and a landline.  Yes, I was READY!!!

For those who would like to view the archive, it can be found here.

My Google Sites resources are posted here.

And for the other virtual sessions, check them out here.

There are a number of people I need to thank.  First and foremost I’d like to thank ‘Princess’ Porter for so graciously offering to paste the links into the chat window during my presentation. I don’t think I could have done it without you!

Then there are a number of other individuals I need to thank for so generously offering to throw a couple of ‘treats’ into my ‘tech bag’ which I was able to raffle off at the end of the session.  In no particular order (other than where they are located in my inbox) I would like to thank:

Marcus of IPEVO for treating us to not only the Ziggy USB document camera, but also the IPEVO Point 2 View USB document camera.  The lucky winner of the Ziggy USB document camera was Sheri Marks (LA) and the winner of the IPEVO Point 2 View USB document camera was Carolyn Goshen (MD).

Jessica at TechSmith added both a Jing Pro subscription and Snagit software. Thank you Jessica and TechSmith for your generosity. Brenda Green (MD) won the Jing Pro subscription and Deb Thonus (MA) won the Snagit software.  Congratulations to you both.

Jessica at BrianPop continued adding treats with a classroom subscription to BrainPop. I’m sure the students in Al Mahnken’s (MO) class are thrilled.

Tony at Evernote tossed in five coupon codes for 3GB of extra storage permanently. The five lucky winners were: Dan Donovan (CA), Wendy Underwood (NC), Ruth Schneier (Canada), Sandy Scott (LA), and Lynne Kranik (NJ).

Kimmie at SymbalooEDU tossed in a Teacher/Librarian Package into my bag and Stephanie Kelly (MD) was the lucky winner of that treat.  But not wanting to leave out an ‘trick or treaters’, SymbalooEDU provided everyone with a $10 voucher for the Symbaloo Certification Program.  You can redeem it at http://www.symbalooedu.com/certification and just enter the Redemption Code: DEN-Fall2011. But hurry! This offer expires November 21st, 2011!

As I said, I had a blast and I hope if you attended you did as well.

Oh, and before I sign off I also would like to thank Wes Fryer for doing an absolutely AMAZING job of recapping my session on his blog (in fact, he did a better job than I would have!), so if you want some details to round out the links on the Google Sites page, then please stop by the post on his Moving at the Speed of Creativity blog.
