American Education Week
In 1921, American Education Week was established to be “An educational week … observed in all communities annually for the purpose of informing the public of the accomplishments and needs of the public schools and to secure the cooperation and support of the public in meeting those needs.” Celebrate the 90th anniversary of American Education Week.
The weeklong celebration features a special observance each day this week. They include:
- Monday, November 14: Kick-Off Day
- Tuesday, November 15: Parent’s Day
- Wednesday, November 16: Education Support Professionals Day
- Thursday, November 17: Educator for a Day
- Friday, November 18: Substitute Educators Day
