Well, if it’s your DE username, a lot! One of the most common issues we encounter on the Support Team is misplaced or forgotten username and/or password. Often, users say “Oh, I thought my username was this“, and they’ll give us the username they typically use for their accounts. When this happens, I always remind the user that, unlike many other online services, you can change your DE username any time you like!
All you need to do is click “Profile”, at the top right hand corner of the DE site, to edit your profile.
Right next to your last name, you’ll find the Username field. Enter your desired username, then hit the Submit button at the bottom to save it.
Of course, there is one catch. The username can’t be one that is already in use, so if your first choice of username is taken, try another! One easy way to keep track of your usernames is to use your email address for everything. Since email addresses are unique, and you’re the only person in the world with your email address, it’s guaranteed to be available wherever you go!
