CLASS  DOJO

Class Dojo http://www.classdojo.com/ is a web-based real-time behavior management tool for classrooms.  Right now it is in Beta testing mode, but it might be worth a try to look at the site and see what you think.  It is free to sign up, and it also allows you to use your smartphone to document and manage classroom behavior.

The site claims that the program can / will:

Improve student behavior and engagement by awarding and recording real-time feedback.
Save time by recording behaviors and accomplishments right in class, with just one click: NO extra data entry required.
AND…
Print or email beautiful behavior reports to easily engage parents and staff.

Give it a try and post comments !

Hi Sandi, Kalen from ClassDojo here. Thanks so much for the blog post!

If anyone coming across this post has any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us at hello@classdojo.com! More than happy to help :)

Beyond classroom management, lots of our teachers have been recently using ClassDojo to track skills, learning habits, and to help children set personal goals! Let us know what you think! We’re former teachers who really want to hear how we can make ClassDojo better!!

Great post Sandi! I am going to try this and post comments about it. Unfortunately I have not been able to use this wonderful piece of technology in my classroom for students with behavior disorders because of the county firewall and my county issued laptop that is so slow as to be useless. I cannot download it onto my classroom computers because I do not have the administrative privileges as a teacher to update Google Chrome (or Adobe, Flash, or any other necessary component to my computers in my classroom). I will keep trying and let you know. :(

ClassDojo is outstanding. My kids love it. The reports option is huge. It’s amazing when I drop a colorful report in front of a parent who promises me \my child has NEVER done xyz\. Thanks CD team!
