The Texas DEN Leadership Council hosted a Twitter chat on Tuesday, March 20, called ‘Appy Hour’ using the hashtag #appyhour. If you saw tweets flying by sharing outstanding information or answering questions related to the instructional uses of apps in the classroom then you saw part of the #appyhour Twitter chat.
Questions were posed throughout the hour and there was great conversation related to all things apps. We did compete with #edchat but we also combined part of their conversation with ours for a truly unique and expansive Twitter chat. Be sure to check out the chat transcript to view the entire Twitter chat if you missed the #appyhour or want to review the resources shared at a slower pace. There are some special gems shared and mentioned during the #appyhour.
When the hour was up many indicated the hour flew by and so much was learned and shared in just 60 minutes that it was going to take awhile to explore the new apps and resources shared by everyone participating. What was fantastic was that DEN members from around the US participated and not just Texas DEN members contributing to the conversation.
There were so many ‘appstanding’ apps shared and a list was compiled by Lea Anne Daughrity, TX LC Chair, of the ones mentioned during the #appyhour below:
Click ‘N’ Colour,
Feed the Head,
Creative Book Builder
Words With Friends
Intro to Guitar
