I had the privilege the other day of watching Lindsay Morhart of Holy Trinity School Division in Moose Jaw, SK showcase Discovery Education for her district’s opening school year PD sessions. Not only did she do a great job in sharing some of the new features of the new interface, but taught me a thing or two. It was great to see educators asking questions with each other and sharing ideas of current practice and new ideas. Normally I’m the one leading the session so it was a treat to watch someone else take the reins. Lindsay did a fabulous job toggling between her desktop and iPad. During the session, she even modeled the effectiveness of the new DESupportStars twitter account where tech support responded immediately.
It was great to have a full morning where folks could also explore and play. Often times 1 hour sessions are crammed full of ideas with little time to explore. Well done Lindsay and well done Holy Trinity for creating a very inviting environment for learners.
