This past weekend, educators from around the world participated in the DEN Virtual Conference. A free day professional development that included over 20 live presentations, now archived. Attendees could participate in the conference from the comfort of their own homes or attend one of over 40 face to face events around North America. This year, we were fortunate to have a group of educators in Romania participate as well. Approximately 15 educators gathered in Bucharest, in a Grand VIP Studio at the Grand Cinema Digiplex, to view the Opening Keynote presentation from Richard Byrne.
In addition to watching the presentation, Romanian educators learned about the Discovery Educator Network and how it can help benefit educators. There was also time to enjoy food and refreshments while networking with fellow educators. Catalin Ciupala, a Romanian educator who this summer attended the DEN Summer Institute, shared his experience in Montana and what he’s learned from his involvement with the DEN. The event was a huge success. The educators enjoyed the day and are looking forward to more involvement in the Discovery Educator Network.
