I have been to this presentation before and it is a whirlwind of fantastic information. If you have been to this in previous years you should know that it is always updated with new information so it is worth revising time and time again. In their own words:
“Get ready for an hour packed with ways to enhance your classroom and school through Web tools! Gain exposure to web applications designed to help differentiate instruction and integrate common core standards. Join the fun, watch as all 60 tools are revealed and leave with access to the wiki.”
Scott Snyder, a 19 year member of the English Department at Cedar Cliff High School (West Shore School District), recently was honored by the Pennsylvania Association for Educational Communications and Technology, and is back to teaching Theater, American Literature, and AP Language and Composition after taking on the duties of Instructional Coach the last two years ago. As an Instructional Coach, he supported teachers striving to increase student achievement, working to improve classroom practice and supporting teachers with basic technology needs. When his district undertook a major technology initiative, Scott, a 2007 Keystone Technology Integrator, was integral in the roll out of the technology as well as training in its effective classroom uses. Outside of school, he is a member of PAECT and serves on its governing board as its Parliamentarian and Newsletter Editor. He was presented at both ISTE and PETE&C.
Brandon Lutz, Technology Integration Specialist, has been in the education profession for over eleven years. After any years spent teaching technology in a K-8 environment for the School District of Philadelphia, Brandon put his experience to work as an Instructional Technology Coach for sixteen high schools throughout Philadelphia. Professionally, Brandon serves as the recently elected Southeast Regional Director of PAECT, was chosen as a state level Keystone Technology Integrator, and is a current DEN Star. In addition, Brandon spends his time searching for the latest and greatest web tools to include in his popular 60 in 60: 60 Web Tools in 60 Minutes presentation. Brandon has presented 60in60 at a wide range of events, including conferences such as ISTE and PETE&C, various webinars and school based professional development days.
Brandon and Scott met in 2007 at the Keystone Technology Integrators Summit at Shippensburg University. The Summit further fueled each’s passion for using technology in educationally meaningful ways in the classroom, and that thinking underlies 60in60: App Attack.
