DEN March Madness – Entry #5 – Book Creator app

Texas DEN STAR Kass Bates recommended an iOS app that will be in this year’s March Madness challenge.  The iPad app is called Book Creator and like the name says, can be used to create ebooks that can be saved to iBook or shared via Dropbox or Evernote.  Images from Discovery Education are a great resource to use with this app. Images can be inserted into the pages, then the text can be added. What separates this from other book creation apps is that students can record their voice reading the text or simply explaining their images.

It’s always great to see apps in action and how students are putting things to use.  Students from Minshew Elementary in McKinney, Texas used the Book Creator app for projects.  Too see an example of one of their creations on an iPad click this link.

Stay tuned to the DEN Blogs as we continue to share the entries for this year’s DEN March Madness.  If you have a favorite tool to use with Discovery Education content, let us know.  What are some of the tools you use with Discovery Education content?  What do you use to create, share, teach, curate, mashup, and learn with?

So we could also use this to make classroom text books that students could publish at the end of the year.
