Idaho DEN STARs Kim Miller and Marita Diffenbaugh earned awards through Idaho State Department of Education’s new 21st Century Classroom Recognition Awards program. In February for Digital Learning Day, the Idaho State Department of Education awarded nine Idaho educators for using technology in innovative ways to improve student learning.
Kim and Marita won “Best Unit Plan.” Their unit, Mystery Substances Unit for 5th Grade, is available to all Idaho teachers through Schoolnet, the statewide instructional management system. Marita also won 2nd place for best video. They won a total of $2500 for their efforts.
