We’ve extended the “Call for Proposals” deadline to give more people the opportunity to submit a session proposal for the upcoming DEN Spring VirtCon. If you’re looking to share your knowledge with others and present to educators across the world, this is your chance.
Here are a few questions and answers about presenting.
- What is the theme for the conference?
The theme is Connecting Communities. While all presentations will be considered, sessions that tie in to the theme will be given priority. Keep in mind, ‘communities’ has a variety of meanings. Some suggestions include learning communities, PLN’s, communities of practice, connecting with parental communities, global collabrations and so on…
- How long are the sessions?
All presentations are 50 minutes in length.
- Are there any technical requirements?
As with the Fall VirtCon, all presentations will be broadcast out via LiveStream. This can use quite a bit of processing power and budget computers will not be able to handle it. Additionally, you need at least 1 mb upload speeds in order to broadcast in sufficient quality. To learn more about the technical requirements, please review this document about bandwidth.
- Can I test Livestream out before I submit?
Absolutely. Sign up for a free account on LiveStream.com and download the Producer app.
- Who do I contact if I have any questions?
Send any questions to Steve_Dembo@discovery.com
Now that you’re ready to submit a presentation, go here and fill out the information! We’d love to learn from you. As always, let us know if you have any questions.
