Happy Mousey Monday to all our Cache and Cookies readers! Watch out for all the tricks, pranks and jokes for today is April Fools’ Day!

Discovery Education has an adorable video segment geared towards grades K-5 titled, “The History of April Fool’s Day”.

In Italy, France and Belgium, people traditionally stick paper fishes on one another’s backs as a trick and shout “April fish!”. April Fool’s Day is meant to be celebrated in good, harmless fun. Discovery Education has a great video to show to your students to avoid having anyone’s feelings hurt. What is a Bully? Don’t Become One shows students how a bully behaves and how bullies are often feared, but not respected. This should discourage students from taking the jokes and pranks too far with one another.
