Happy Mousey Monday from Mousey and all of us on the Discovery Education Customer and Technical Support team! Today is a very special day, it is Earth Day and seeing how we are all here together on planet Earth, we should do our best to care for it.

Earth Day is celebrated annually where worldwide there are events and demonstrations in support of environmental protection. Earth Day is celebrated in over 192 countries all around the world. The concept came from John McConnell in 1969 at a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization Conference. The first Earth Day was celebrated in 1970.

According to the Earth Day Network at http://www.earthday.org/we have together reached over 1,000,000,000 Acts of Green and can reach 2 billion!

Discovery Education streaming users have access to our Planet Earth Content Collection.

Share these beautiful videos in your classrooms to aid your students in loving Earth, and encouraging them to participate in keeping it healthy and clean.

Reduce, Reuse and Recycle is a 3 minute video segment that helps you to teach your students how to protect the Earth’s natural resources. Every little bit counts and this is a great way to get your students involved.

We hope that Discovery Education encourages you and your students to get out there and be part of the Acts of Green movement in taking better care of Earth. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to tweet us at @DESupportStars with #mouseymondays! Happy Mousey Monday! Enjoy Earth Day with your students!
