Recognizing Kenai Peninsula Borough School District’s DEN STARs

At Discovery Education, we believe in connecting educators to their most valuable resource, which is each other.  One way of achieving this is through the DEN.

A global community of education professionals that are passionate about transforming the learning experience with digital media, the Discovery Educator Network (DEN) connects members across town and around the world through social media, virtual conferences and in-person events — fostering valuable networking, idea-sharing and inspiration.

Twenty educators in the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District (KPBSD) have demonstrated that passion and taken it a step further by becoming a DEN STAR Discovery Educator.  This means that they have committed to sharing something they’ve learned using Discovery Education resources with a group of at least three other educators twice a year.

By taking the extra step of becoming a STAR Discovery Educator, these individuals are eligible to participate in or present at virtual and in-person events, attend exclusive professional development opportunities and receive recognition during Teacher Appreciation Week.

As the 2013-14 school year begins, Discovery Education and KPBSD would like to recognize the following educators for becoming DEN STARs.
