Photo-a-Day or Blogging Challenge – Which one is for you?

Are you participating in Photo a day or the Blog Challenge with Kelly Hines? If you are participating in either challenge, add your name and blog or photo page to this Google Document. If you just wish to follow anyone, open the GoogleDoc and choose as many as you wish!

Over the years (2009-11) I have done the photo a day and it is tough! This time I am going to approach it a bit differently. Since it is sooooo cold here in PA, I am going to use my iPhone instead of my DSLR in January and stick with one app for a week. The next week I’ll try another. I have over 30 photo apps and could not tell you the difference between them.  I hope to learn more this way.

EagleI must say that this makes me think more about the composition of the photo since I will be sharing it online. Will you share yours online?  I have used Flickr.com since 2007 and like the ease of uploading from my computer, iPad and iPhone. I put the photos in sets by month. Flickr.com gives you 1TB of space to use for your photos for FREE. Be sure to tag your photos. It makes it easier to search for something later if you need it. Another reason I like Flickr, is the fact that it can be accessed by AppleTV. My mom has an AppleTV and she can subscribe to my Flickr page to see photos of the grandchildren. I might even talk her into Photo-a-day.

Kelly Hines Blogging Challenge is a good way to get started in blogging. Many people think they have nothing to share, but with her prompts, everyone can offer ideas for the various topics. Try it, here is a link to her challenge.

When you are at the end of the month, select some of your best photos and upload them to DiscoveryEducation so we can all use them in the classroom!

I am so glad you’re doing this!! I probably have the same number of photo apps you do. I can’t wait to see your results!!
