ENTRY #5 – Educreations

educreationsEducreations is our fifth entry in DEN March Madness. DEN STAR Mary Ann Jezierski nominated this popular iPad app. Educreations is a recordable interactive whiteboard that captures your voice and handwriting to produce amazing video lessons that you can share online. Students and colleagues can replay your lessons in any web browser, or from within our app on their iPads. Users can import images into Educreations, making it a great tool to use with content from Discovery Education.  In fact, Mary Ann’s students students often embed Discovery Education content into their Educreations. For example, her students just completed a project on the Bill of Rights and used Discovery Education to expand upon each amendment.

Stay tuned to the DEN Blogs as we continue to share the entries for this year’s DEN March Madness. If you have a favorite tool to use with Discovery Education content, let us know. What are some of the tools you use with Discovery Education content? What do you use to create, share, teach, curate, mashup, and learn with?

Wiggio is easy to use for education and business applications. I use Wiggio for the online portion of our media committee meetings. I use this app to create surveys. Recently, I sent the entire staff an inventory survey for the DOE Technology count. I use their responses as I go room to room and check equipment.
