The University of Connecticut Huskies cut down the nets last night as the 2014 NCAA Champion. They were a #7 seed who earlier this season, lost by 33 points. However, after barely escaping the first round with an overtime win, they ended up as the last team standing and can now call themselves the 2014 NCAA Champ. No one expected it.
A similar story played out in DEN March Madness this year, with Been for EDU as an unexpected winner. After four rounds of voting and over 2,300 votes cast, the community has spoken. Been is a newcomer, participating in it’s very first DEN March Madness, but took on an early challenge and rose to the top to claim the title of 2014 DEN March Madness champion. Congratulations! Here’s a screencast sharing Been for EDU from DEN LC member Rachel Yurk.
This year’s challenge contained several new tools and apps. The DEN Community, again, shared some great tools to use with content from Discovery Education. If you missed any of the tools or would like a review, explore all 16 here. You’ll find great stuff to use in your classroom.
Thanks to everyone who voted! We’ll see you next year.
