Yesterday, educators and geocachers across the United States made it an official DEN Geocaching Day! Fifteen events across the country paired teachers with expert geocachers to help teach others the how-to’s, tips and tricks, and fun of these satellite based scavenger hunts. Mark Case, organized an in-person event for educators in the Piedmont in North Carolina, at Burlington City Park. Eighteen teachers, former educators, and nationally known Geocachers, joined for this awesome event of teaching and learning. Mark even set up a brand new cache, just for our event!

Check out some of the other exciting activity that happened around the country for DEN Geocaching Day 2014 by following the #DENGeocaching hashtag on Twitter!

Geocaching is the best hobby ever! It is so exciting: traveling and be a detective to find some treasures. This is like dream of the childhood for all kids. Dig a treasure! The first time I heard about geocaching was at essaydune.com and I’d like it to become popular all over the world faster.
