Some events are up close and personal, with just a few educators getting together over lunch. And others are a little more… international.
This week, our Event of the Week was submitted by Chelsei Fox! She had the honor of being one of the educators representing the United States at the Microsoft in Education Global Forum 2014 in Barcelona!
Over 250 educators from over 90 countries as well as hundreds of administrtors and educational leaders were in attendance to share the innovative work they are doing and learn from one another. I presented the Wild, Wild Weather project my students completed using Board Builder and was recognized in the category “extending learning beyond the classroom” in third place.
Teachers from around the globe were excited to see how emerging 21st century skills such as collaboration and self-regulation, could so easily be incorporated into classroom projects. Many were unaware of the exciting new possibilities within Discovery Education were eager to share this newtool with their divisions.
What an incredible opportunity! And we’d like to thank Chelsei for featuring Discovery Eduction in her project. Way to represent the DEN on such an esteemed global stage!
